WHAT CETAD AFRICA DOES?

We provide advisory services to both firms and governments, assisting them in harnessing the benefits of preferential trade regimes granted to least developed countries (LDCs) by advanced nations. Our services include organizing workshops, training seminars, and disseminating policy briefs.We firmly believe that entrepreneurs and firms play a crucial role as agents of change in realizing the aspirations of developing countries and LDCs for self-reliance and sustainable economic growth.
Moreover, we actively facilitate the development of global market connections for local industries. At CETAD Africa, we place significant emphasis on analyzing the impact of both international and domestic economic policies on firm growth and poverty reduction in LDCs. Specifically, we assess how trade policies adopted impact the lives of ordinary citizens and contribute to poverty reduction efforts.

Research and Analysis:

This involves research and management of trade information and market intelligence. An assessment of the impact of international and domestic trade and developmental policies on economic performance, both at the macro and firm level. To determine the impact of integration arrangements and trade policies on ordinary traders, producers, and consumers.

Advisory Service:

Based on impact assessment, offer advisory services in collaboration with policy-makers and stakeholders in devising appropriate coping strategies to mitigate adverse effects from globalization on firms, states, and households. We provide special advisory services for countries in trade negotiation in world trade policy at a multilateral and regional level.

Product and Marketing Development:

This primarily entails a focus on improving product quality in line with international standards and regulatory measures such as technical barriers to trade and sanitary and phytosanitary measures. CETAD attention will be on harnessing and developing entrepreneurs and promoting firms' competitiveness in the global market. Thus, enhancing market access.

Training and Capacity Development: This entails building the institutional capacity of firms and states through training, seminars, workshops and technical assistance. We also organize study and market tours for all firms and states.

Policy Dissemination: Issuing policy briefs and engaging in policy debates. Organizing and participating in national and regional forums to facilitate dialogue and consensus building.
